The Federal Government has announced plans to introduce monthly revenue transparency dashboards aimed at tracking income and expenditure across the federal, state, and local government levels. The initiative is designed to improve fiscal transparency and accountability in public finance management.
The program was disclosed by Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of State for Finance and Chair of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), during a meeting in Abuja.
Why This Matters
The dashboard forms part of a broader effort to strengthen fiscal coordination and transparency, especially amid expectations of higher revenues resulting from recent tax reforms and a presidential Executive Order aimed at safeguarding oil and gas earnings.
Authorities emphasize that the measure is intended to ensure that increased revenue inflows do not destabilize the economy, particularly in terms of inflation and exchange rate volatility, by making distribution and usage more transparent and better managed.
In addition to the dashboards, the government plans to implement mechanisms such as phased revenue distribution and stabilization buffers to manage sudden liquidity surges responsibly.
These transparency efforts are part of ongoing fiscal reforms, including new tax laws and changes in oil revenue remittance, which are expected to broaden the tax base and strengthen domestic revenue collections.

Once operational, the dashboards are expected to provide regular, public-facing insights into monthly revenue flows and how funds are allocated and utilized across all tiers of government.
