The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has commenced its 2025 Tax Clinic in Lagos, as part of its continuous effort to deepen tax education and promote voluntary compliance.

The clinic is designed to assist new and prospective taxpayers, including individuals, small business owners, and startups, by offering hands-on support with taxpayer registration, filing processes, and general tax compliance.

The Lagos edition marks the latest stop in the nationwide outreach programme, which aims to simplify tax processes and demystify tax obligations for new entrants into the tax net. It is organized through its Emerging Taxpayers’ Group (ETG), the two-day event will take place on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th July, 2025, at Marcellina’s Place, beside Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

In addition to tax-related services, the Nigerian Medical Association will offer free basic medical screenings on-site, while the first 300 physical registrants will receive complimentary branded gifts.

The initiative aligns with FIRS’ broader strategy to improve taxpayer experience and boost revenue through improved engagement and awareness.

Taxpayers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure proper compliance and avoid penalties associated with non-compliance.
